A mobile simulator (Expo + Supabase + LLM) where UK medical students and junior doctors practise the on-call shift: handcrafted ward scenarios played out over chat, with observations on request, hints, and a debrief against ideal management.
Nothing prepares you for the first time the bleep goes at 3am. Bleep lets you practise that shift before it counts: a nurse messages you about a post-op patient who “doesn’t look right”, and from there it is your call — ask for obs, prioritise four wards at once, or talk down an angry relative in a corridor.
Scenarios are handcrafted with resolution criteria, critical errors and key learning points, then played out through an LLM that stays in character as the ward. Observations are rationed — you get the NEWS score when you ask for it, like real life — and a debrief afterwards walks through what ideal management looked like. Difficulty, setting (ward, phone, A&E) and specialty are all filterable, and the app tracks streaks and weak areas.
Built with React Native and Expo, Supabase for auth and data, and edge functions in front of the LLM so the app never talks to a model directly. Education only — never real patients.
